This always-popular getaway to the Cape is the capstone to our butterfly season. (Now that specific dates have been determined it would be wise to immediately arrange for lodging/camping.) This is a chance to confer, consult, and otherwise hobnob with our friends from south Jersey.
As usual we will meet at Cape May Point SP by the hawk watching platform at 9:30 AM on 9/23. We will butterfly the SP, have lunch overlooking the water, and then caravan to good butterfly spots during the afternoon.
Dinner the first night (9/23) will take place at Teresa Knipper's lovely home in Cape May. Activities and dinner on the 24th will be arranged during the trip based on both butterfly and weather conditions.
Special Note: Please email Wade Wander at wec2293@gmail.com if you are coming on this trip and more importantly if you plan to attend the evening festivities on September 23 at the home of our gracious host Teresa Knipper. All our friends and colleagues, both north and south, are encouraged to attend both the trip and the party on the 23rd.
Refer to our Complete List of Trips to see all our outings and information about how our trips are conducted. Check back often as details change as the season progresses. Please join us.
It's a beautiful day - time to go butterflying. Wondering what you might see here in New Jersey this time of year?
